Hosting

Our prices are based on needs, and so our offerings listed here are only used as a guideline. Sorrowind Studios highly recommends you contact us for a price quote that will fit your site's exact needs without breaking the budget, especially if "disk storage" and "bandwidth" are terms you are unfamiliar with.

To start, we have our basic plan.

    For $5.00 USD a month, you get:
  • 1 gigabyte of disk storage.
  • 20 gigabytes of bandwidth
  • Unlimited MySQL 5, and PostgreSQL databases (within disk storage limits)
  • PHP5 (Latest Stable), with a wide range of extensions.
  • Unlimited email addresses, subdomains, and FTP accounts.
  • Optional (no cost) support for Mono 2.x and more, on request.
  • Add-on and Parked domain services are only $1/month extra (You do not pay $1 per domain, but for all domains total).
  • CPanel control panel system for managing your site.

We've found that these numbers are more than enough for a surprisingly high number of new websites. Our prices are not the best in the business, but that is because we offer more reliability, more options, and more solutions for our customers. Unlike many cheaper hosting providers, our servers are not oversold. We allow, and expect our users to use their services to the limits of their plan. An overselling hosting provider, however, bets that most of their customers will not use their alloted plan. They play a gambling game with your website and your money. They can't afford to offer you thousands of gigabytes of bandwidth. They assume you won't use it. It's a deceptive business practice, and unfortunately it's a prominent one as well.

Our services are not deceptive. You can use your entire plan every month, because our services expect it! Enjoy that peace of mind that comes from knowing your site will be live for years to come.
